me, you, and the city i live in: philadelphia lifestyle photographer

Too often I forget the reason why I picked up a camera in the first place – to document where I’m currently living, what I’m currently doing, the things I’m currently loving. Don’t get me wrong, I love my clients SO much and I love my job to bits and pieces but every now and again when I get to take personal photos, it’s such a refreshing feeling. My friend Erin, a photographer in Maryland, came to hang out with me for the day and we spent the afternoon eating lunch in Chinatown. It was awesome to not only take some cool photos, but I also got to play with her little lens (which I have just purchased because I fell in loooove). Things around here are going to be quite busy this summer with some big changes on the way but I hope every now and again, I can show you guys a little peek into more than just the stuff I do for clients. Enjoy:)

A few weeks ago I drove to Annapolis, MD to second shoot for the lovely Mandy Sroka. We instantly clicked and shooting with her was like shooting with someone I’ve been friends with for a long time. We worked as an awesome team – taking apart sinks, picking through trash, turning little flower girls into divas, and having a great time doing it! Don’t forget to check out her blog post here, it’s awesome! Mandy, thank you so much for having me along! I had a great time and can’t wait to hang out with you again:)

I feel like I haven’t blogged in forever, even though i hasn’t even been a week. Maybe it’s because I suddenly got SUPER busy with weddings and other sessions? Or maybe it’s because I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off? Either way — expect lots of gorgeous images on the blog in the very near future! For now, say hi to Christine :]! You’ve seen her here and here and you’ll probably keep seeing her for a long time. These were shot as we were walking to Starbucks a few weeks ago, along with a few shots of me that can be seen here and here. Happy hump day!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting with Natalie Franke in Baltimore, Maryland. When I first met Akeia I couldn’t get over how stunning she is and Mike is a total sweetheart (he’s also Eagles fan – so I automatically know he’s a keeper). At the end of the night, Mike told Natalie and I that we were part of the family and that made me so much more grateful that I could share their special day with them. Here are a few of my favorites from the day:
